YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLA T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu confidently stated that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was guaranteed to suffer a defeat in the upcoming elections.
During a press conference at the party office in Tadepalli on Sunday, Mr. Sudhakar Babu expressed his belief that the actual situation in the State was contrary to the TDP’s expectations, and that the voters would ultimately hand them a decisive defeat.
Mr. Sudhakar Babu questioned, “Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is the only politician in the State who can confidently claim that he has delivered on all promises made to voters. While Mr. Jagan asserts that the YSRCP can win all 175 Assembly seats, the TDP does not even have enough candidates to field in all the seats. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu failed to secure his son’s victory in the 2019 elections. How can he hope to lead the party to victory now?”
He added, “Leaders are lining up to request permission to contest the election on a YSRCP ticket. The SC community is supporting the YSRCP and seeing Mr. Jagan as their hero. The TDP needs to acknowledge that the actual realities are much different from their calculations and expectations.”
