Amit was one of over 190 people kidnapped by Hamas during the Supernova music festival on October 7. Additionally, a young Israeli-French woman, Mia Schem, was also among the hostages released as part of a ceasefire deal exchange. The two women were seen getting into a Red Cross car after their release in the last group of hostages freed. Over 100 hostages were released by Hamas during the truce, though Israel states that 137 people remain in captivity.
