The President’s Visit to the Southern Region of Hyderabad Scheduled for December 18th

President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Hyderabad from December 18 to December 23 for a five-day trip. During her visit, she will be staying at the official presidential retreat, Rashtrapati Nilayam, located in Bolarum, Secunderabad. The Chief Secretary, Santhi Kumari, presided over a meeting with various officials to oversee the preparations for the visit. The Police department has been tasked with ensuring security and traffic arrangements, while other departments have been instructed to make the necessary arrangements as specified in the blue book. This visit will mark Murmu’s second trip to Hyderabad since assuming office last year. Rashtrapati Nilayam, originally built in 1860, has served as the President’s retreat following Hyderabad state’s accession to India in 1948. Spanning across 90 acres, it boasts a picturesque garden and a range of amenities. The building comprises 20 rooms, including a dining hall and a movie theatre. As a result of the President’s visit, the retreat will be closed to the public in December.
