A deceased individual was discovered in a freezer by a family in San Diego, as stated by police. There are still unknown details surrounding how the body ended up there.
The San Diego Police Department reported that family members from out of town immediately contacted the police when they found the body in a residence on Zion Avenue at approximately 11:45am (7:45pm UK time) on Saturday.
According to Sky News’ US partner network, NBC News, the body is believed to be female, but no other physical details have been confirmed. Official identification will occur in the future.
The police department’s homicide investigations team was called in due to the “unusual location” of the body’s discovery.
“Detectives are currently gathering information to comprehend what occurred and why the body was inside the freezer,” stated the police. It is uncertain if there was any traumatic injury involved, as the condition of the body makes it challenging to immediately determine a cause of death.
