Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa are officially divorcing after announcing their separation two years ago. According to court documents obtained by People on Monday, Lisa has filed for a dissolution of marriage, listing the date of separation as October 7, 2020, which is nearly a year and a half before they publicly confirmed their split in January 2022. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
The divorce does not seem to come with much drama as they will be sharing custody of their two kids, Lola, 16, and Nakoa-Wolf, 15. The actress is asking for joint custody and no spousal support from either side. Jason has not yet reacted to the filing.
They blamed the changes that occurred in their lives amid the coronavirus pandemic for their split after nearly five years of marriage and over 15 years together. They emphasized that “the love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived.” Despite past hopes of reconciliation, it seems like they are truly done with their love story.
