Reflections on Janelle’s Marriage Status by Kody Brown

Kody Brown expressed mixed feelings about his relationship with Janelle Brown in the recent episode of Sister Wives. He mentioned that he had asked Janelle multiple times to reconcile with him, but she had refused, stating that she was not interested in being involved with the other sister wives. Kody admitted that it was sad to see how their marriage had unraveled over time and expressed his desire to ask Janelle again for reconciliation. However, he acknowledged that it was a painful process, as Janelle’s response was always negative. Janelle herself admitted in an interview that she was not interested in nurturing a relationship with Meri and Robyn, suggesting that Kody wanted her to get along with them to excuse his own behavior. According to Janelle, Kody had not made it clear that he wanted to repair their marriage and instead focused on wanting the family to be back together for his own benefit. Janelle joined Kody’s plural family in 1993, while Christine joined in 1994, and Robyn in 2010. In 2014, Kody legally divorced Meri to marry Robyn and adopt her children. Kody and Meri confirmed earlier this year that they had ended their spiritual union, and Janelle also revealed that she and Kody had been separated for months. Kody mentioned in an interview that Janelle did not seem interested in reconciliation, but he believed that with time, grace, and forgiveness, love could be found, even if they did not stay married. Sister Wives airs on TLC on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
