Kaitlyn Bristowe, who previously called Dancing With the Stars pro Alan Bersten “a d–k,” is now hoping to repair their friendship. During an appearance on Cheryl Burke’s podcast, Bristowe revealed that Bersten has stopped talking to her and ignored her at a recent Dancing With the Stars event. Bristowe has apologized multiple times on her own podcast, but Bersten has yet to respond. The conversation arose when Burke asked Bristowe if she would be interested in returning to the show for an all-star season, to which she replied that she would if she and Bersten were on good terms. She had referred to Bersten as “kind of a d–k” and “crazy in the ballroom” when warning another contestant about the show’s male pros. Bristowe explained that she meant those comments in a loving way and considers Bersten a close friend. However, Bersten has chosen not to respond to her. In the past, Bristowe clarified that the name-calling was meant as a form of motivation for her friends and she respects Bersten. He took her comments as a compliment but didn’t understand why she brought up their non-existent dance partnership. Bristowe won season 29 of the show with partner Artem Chigvintsev, but they haven’t kept in touch much since. Chigvintsev is now partnered with Charity Lawson and has not let Bristowe’s comments affect their relationship.
