Having trouble getting Circle to search? Google Lens might be the solution (APK teardown)

A recent teardown has uncovered potential updates for Google Lens that could bring it closer to Circle to Search. The first change would allow users to search for content within videos, while the second change would introduce a new translate button. Circle to Search is currently only available on recent Samsung and Google phones, but Google Lens offers similar functionality for older devices and may soon offer even more features. The findings from the APK teardown of the Google app (version 15.18.30.29 beta) revealed evidence of these new features. The ability to search for content within videos using Google Lens will include play and pause controls to help users find specific frames. Additionally, Google is working on a translate button that will appear in the lower right corner of the screen in the Lens viewfinder. This button will allow users to easily switch between translate mode and standard search mode with a simple tap. These updates will make Google Lens more convenient and accessible to a wider range of devices, allowing even older phones to enjoy some benefits similar to Circle to Search. It remains to be seen whether these predicted features will be included in a future public release, but the potential changes are certainly promising for Google Lens users.
