Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, currently in New Delhi, presented a request to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav for approval of various road projects in Telangana.
Representing the Nalgonda constituency, the Minister urged the NHAI chairman to approve the ₹1,000-crore bypass road project of Nalgonda town and grant national status to the Regional Ring Road (RRR).
He also sought ₹4,000 crore for the Armoor-Mancherial section, as well as the enhancement of the Malkapur-Vijayawada route to a six-lane greenfield express highway on NH 65. Additionally, he requested the NHAI to expedite forest approvals for the 352 km section of the Nagpur-Vijayawada highway.

Prior to this, the Minister stated that the Centre should fulfill the promise made by the Manmohan Singh government during the bifurcation and provide Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. He also conducted a review of the construction of Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi and expressed that the work would be accelerated after discussing the matter with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
