Lok Sabha elections: Nadda launches video vans to gather public input for manifesto | India News

BJP president J P Nadda on Monday flagged off ‘Viksit Bharat Modi ki guarantee’ video vans, seeking people’s suggestions from across the country for preparing the ruling party’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In his address, he mentioned that the vans will gather suggestions from the people for the party’s ‘sankalp patra’ (manifesto) and emphasized the BJP’s vision of ensuring citizens’ participation in the democratic process.
These vans will showcase the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his vision for transforming India into a developed country.

“Through these video vans, BJP has decided to inform the people about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work towards the progress of the country and the ongoing efforts in this ‘Amrit Kaal’ to elevate India into a developed nation,” Nadda stated.

He also mentioned that these vans will travel to every Lok Sabha constituency, with a target of receiving almost one crore suggestions by March 15 to incorporate them into the party’s promises to the people.

Nadda announced the ongoing preparation of the party’s manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and launched a number, 90909-02024, urging people to give a missed call on it to submit their suggestions for the party’s manifesto.

He also mentioned that people can submit their suggestions through the NAMO app, stating that “all public input will contribute to the ‘sankalp patra’, shaping the party’s vision for a developed nation.”

The ‘sankalp patra’ is envisioned to propel the country towards development by 2047, he added.

“The aspirations of ‘Viksit Bharat’, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, and ‘Vishwamitra Bharat’, which seemed unattainable in 2014, are now becoming a reality under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. India is on track to make significant progress towards ‘Viksit Bharat’ during the Amrit Kaal,” Nadda expressed.

The BJP aims to retain power under Modi’s leadership for a third consecutive term and has set a target of winning 370 seats in the elections, anticipated in April-May, for the 543-member Lok Sabha.
