Posh Spice Offered Kim Kardashian a Spot on Spice Girls Tour

Kim Kardashian recently revealed that she was once offered the opportunity to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a Spice Girl. During a talent show, Kardashian, now 42, performed as Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham). Spice Girls member Melanie Chisholm, also known as Mel C, asked Kardashian to fill in for Beckham on tour. Kardashian shared this story with a group of friends while attending a soccer game with their kids in London during the latest episode of The Kardashians, which began streaming on Thursday, October 19.

Kardashian’s daughter, North, 10, encouraged her to take the opportunity. Kardashian also has three other children: Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4. The Spice Girls, known for their female empowerment and friendship, disbanded in 1994 to pursue solo careers. However, there may be a possibility of a reunion in the future. Mel C wrote a book and sent a signed copy to Kardashian, mentioning that the group needed a Posh for their tour.

In Mel C’s memoir, released in September 2022, she talks about her rise to fame as a Spice Girl. The group reunited for a summer tour in 2019, with the exception of Beckham due to her busy schedule running her fashion label. However, Beckham expressed her support for her former bandmates on Instagram before their first performance. The note Mel C wrote to Kardashian in her book hints at a potential upcoming reunion, especially since the group will be celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2024.

There have been rumors of a reunion, especially after Victoria Beckham sang along to “Say You’ll Be There” on TikTok. However, Geri Halliwell, who left the group in 1998 but returned for their 2008 tour, recently shut down tour speculation, saying she’s focusing on other projects, such as her latest children’s book.

New episodes of The Kardashians can be streamed on Hulu every Thursday.
